Bill Barrows   Justin Siegel

Justin Siegel is the President of Deli Star. He has been with the company for 11 years and in the meat industry for 12 years. He previously worked at Irad Corp., and King's Food, Inc. Born in 1979, Justin attended the University of Illinois where he earned a Bachelor's in Economics and minored in Finance. He has overcome challenges in the industry and developed innovative meat solutions that have led to much success for Deli Star’s customers. He is a valuable resource for packaging and meat solutions. Justin’s first job was selling irradiation food machines. He took his Entrepreneur spirit and started Irad Corp. with his Dad. After realizing the market wasn’t there yet he started doing sales and marketing for Deli Star in 2003. After that, Justin committed himself to that location and worked vigorously on the Marketing and Research and Development of Deli Star products from the Fayetteville facility.

Since then Justin has added multiple new product lines in the retail and food service divisions of Deli Star; Gaucho Premium Slow-Cooked Meats, Gaucho Beef, Super Smokers, Zia’s, Pit ‘n Go and American Vacuum Packaged Meats (AMVAC). He has also provided focus to Deli Star’s product line and remains focused on foodservice and industrial accounts. Justin continues to work closely with sandwich makers and national chains to develop new innovative products.

Justin has experience in 6 main areas and has 6 main direct reports: Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Quality Control, Operations, Research and Development, and Sales and Marketing. Over the years, he has established Deli Star as one of the most respected meat companies in the industry with a strong focus on Food Safety and Quality. Within the last two years, Justin has led numerous committees within Deli Star to create a new work culture and a focus on food safety. He helped create Star Guest which was created to make the work environment an enjoyable place to come every day but also to motivate all employees to be better in all categories and promote innovation. He has instilled his own family values and morals into the culture at Deli Star while still breaking the rules when it comes to historical ways of doing things. Also recently, Justin has added 401(K) to the benefit package, led a team to achieve SQF level II Certification, and created one of the best work atmospheres and benefit packages in the industry. ”
